Light with character

OCULUS emphasises materials, shapes and spatial details – precisely, atmospherically and harmoniously. The directional lens optics create targeted accents and bring surfaces to life: natural stone gains more depth, wood grains stand out clearly and textile structures gain presence. Thanks to the high colour rendering index (CRI > 90), materials and colours appear in their natural brilliance.

The dim-to-warm function also allows the lighting mood to be flexibly adapted to the time of day and use – from concentrated working light during the day to a warm ambience in the evening. The diffuser supplied expands the design possibilities: it provides softer, broader light when more subdued lighting is desired.

This makes OCULUS luminaires particularly suitable for high demands on atmosphere and staging: upscale private areas, doctors' surgeries, law firms, cafés, hotels and restaurants.

PVD surfaces with depth and durability

OCULUS luminaires shine in all their glory thanks to three elegant PVD colours (dark bronze, dark copper, brass). These are available for ceiling-mounted, wall-mounted and pendant luminaires.

The PVD (Physical Vapour Deposition) process involves applying an extremely thin layer of metal in a vacuum. Compared to conventional paint finishes, the surface is harder, more scratch-resistant and permanently colour-stable – with a warm, metallic sheen that elegantly reflects the light.

The same three surface colours can also be found in selected SLV families such as CYFT (decorative ring in bronze or brass), VARYT, LYGANT and QUIMERA. This allows harmonious colour and material concepts to be realised across several product groups.
